For years, female athletes were told that it was normal to not have a regular period. It was celebrated even, seen as a badge of honor that meant she was training hard and competing at her highest ability

Now we know better. Nearly a decade into her professional cycling career, World Tour rider Sara Poidevin knows all about RED-S. She unknowingly lived with it for years. The good news is Sara was not only able to recover from RED-S, but she wants to share her experience to help other athletes avoid the health struggles she battled for years.

What you will learn 🎓

This #conversation will be full of useful information for athletes, coaches and support staff. Hosted by sport scientist and certified sport nutritionist Anne Guzman. Sara will be joined by EF Education-Tibco-SVB‘s Performance Director and head coach Chris Rozdilsky. Chris led the support team that’s helped Sara over the past two seasons. Topics will include:

  • Why weight is not the most important factor for riders, and what to focus on instead to progress through the sport
  • The vital role of proper nutrition for fuelling optimal performance and preventing RED-S
  • How to identify indicators of RED-S, and where to find resources and additional help when needed

Sara and Chris will also answer additional killer questions on the topic in order to help you achieve your highest level of performance in a healthy way!
